His commitment to staying at the forefront of dental innovation is evident through his robust continuing education, including 60 hours annually through the prestigious Spear Education program and 20 hours yearly in Global Diagnosis Education.
As an Invisalign-certified provider, Dr. Mouritsen offers patients advanced orthodontic solutions tailored to their unique needs. His approach to dentistry combines technical excellence with a genuine passion for improving patients’ lives through optimal oral health. While based in Bonita Springs, he previously contributed his dental expertise to public health education by authoring dental health columns for newspapers in South Dakota, demonstrating his commitment to community dental education.

This spirit of service was cultivated early in his career when he spent two years as a missionary in Tampico, Mexico.

Maintaining a balanced lifestyle, Dr. Mouritsen is an avid fitness enthusiast who particularly enjoys weightlifting and cycling. As a father of eight daughters, he prioritizes family time, often planning movie outings and travel adventures with his children.
His marriage to Leann Mouritsen, a culinary artist, since 2009, has fostered a shared appreciation for unique dining experiences, particularly at local favorites like Koto Grill and Sushi and Yummy Yummy Asian Kitchen.
An advocate for continuous self-improvement, Dr. Mouritsen enjoys reading personal development books and challenging himself intellectually through strategic games like chess.
He maintains strong connections with his family, occasionally enjoying dirt bike riding sessions with his father, though his busy schedule as a practicing dentist and family man often takes precedence.
